Two down, Four to go! As of this posting, there 360 GORGEOUS layouts ready and waiting to be judged in the week two gallery at Sweet Shoppe Designs. We've absolultely loved this challenge and can't wait to see what our judges decide this week. There have been so many interesting and unique ways to use patterned papers in this week's challenge and anyone browsing the gallery is sure to find tons of inspiration. We hope all of you are enjoying the first results show on Disc Talk Radio and we can't wait to put together the results show for challenge two.

While all of you are on pins and needles waiting for it, let's get you started with a brand new challenge for Week #3. Remember, you need to combine both the inspirational focus and the design focus of the challenge into one outstanding and memorable page using products from Sweet Shoppe Designs, Little Dreamer Designs or any of our contest sponsors exclusively. Here is your challenge for week #3...

Challenge #3: Let the Music Move You

Inspirational Focus:

"Where words fail, music speaks" - Hans Christian Andersen

Music - ah, the sweet notes, the poignant lyrics, the melodies. There are times when a song or lyric captures exactly what we have on our minds. It can be the soundtrack that plays consistently through our lives. It can give us comfort when we are lonely, respite when we are tired. Music can convey so many feeling and thoughts. Music and lyrics can transport you back in time and invoke memories. Lyrics can also be a magical inspiration for creating amazingly powerful layouts. Our challenge to you is to let music be your muse - Use a lyric of a song to create a layout that is meaningful to you and the people you love.

Design Focus:

Typography - The font work a scrapbooker uses can take a layout from good to amazing in a variety of ways. It can be superb eyecatching titlework that draws a viewer in or fantastic, graphic journaling or captions that take a layout over the top. It can be clean and easy to read, grungy and reminiscent of the mood of a page, handwritten as if the artist herself took the time to journal directly on the page and so much more. This week, use typography to add interest and mood to the lyrical focus of your page.

Challenge #3 Layouts must be posted in the following galleries at Little Dreamer Designs no later than midnight PST on Tuesday, October 9th.

Week #3 Intermediate Gallery
Week #3 Advanced Gallery

Challenge #4 will be posted Wednesday, October 10th. We can't wait to see what you do with this week's challenge! Good Luck!
